Audition Information
Payment Information:
The audition fee is $20.00 per instrument per student. (Example: The fee for auditioning on both flute and piccolo is $40.00). Also, students auditioning on more than one instrument need to submit a SEPARATE registration form for each instrument. (Example: one registration for flute and a separate registration for piccolo).
Send ONE check to cover the audition fees for your students. If you have students auditioning for Middle School All-State Band, that must be a SEPARATE CHECK that goes to the Middle School Chairperson.

The audition fees must be postmarked and registrations must be submitted by October 10, 2026 in order to be considered on time. After that date, the registration fee will rise from $20.00 to $30.00 per instrument per student.
Absolutely no registrations or fees will be accepted if they are postmarked/submitted later than October 17, 2026.
Students who have not pre-registered will not be permitted to audition.
Auditions will NOT be canceled due to bad weather. If you are unable to make your requested site because of weather conditions, you can be worked into the next day's schedule as cancellations occur. If students are registered at one site they will only be allowed to audition at another site due to weather conditions not schedule conflicts.
Make sure you read all the information regarding the audition process, registration, fees, due dates and penalties for late registration carefully. Auditions are NOT blind.
All deadlines are firm; do not request extensions or exceptions.
Audition Day Information:
On the day of the audition, please plan to arrive at the site early enough to register and have ample warm-up time. Students will be required to check in at the registration table again this year. Historically, we have averaged close to a 30-40% cancellation rate; therefore, please plan to arrive early for your scheduled audition. This is particularly true for those scheduled for the afternoon auditions. You will be expected to try out early if necessary.
When you arrive on-site, please check in at the registration table to advise us of cancellations from your school. Signs will be posted to direct students to the warm-up area and audition rooms. Students should be aware of audition times and cancellations. Audition schedules will be posted at the audition area and cancellations will be posted as they are reported. A copy of the solo must be provided for the judge! No copies will be made at the audition sites. If possible, email cancellations before Nov. 22, 2024.
